Howdyall:

I hung a while at Ken Johnson's place, and it was the best place to hang in So-Flo.  My kind of place.

Plenty of space, to grow palms galore, with lots of nurseries and/or large homesites, and proximity to Homestead Speedway (for those so inclined) and the Keys, and Miami, just a bit to the north.  

Here's a little cross-roads, with a funky old building, keep looking to see what comes next.

Just on the other side, was this little joint, which was a combo Mexican-eatery, convenience store and (I think) drinkery, across from which was a row of Phoenix sylvestris I posted a long while back.

They had GOOD tacos, Ken and I ate there one morning, with his buddy George, tacos!  The Breakfast of Champions, at what I'll figure out later.

More great pics. Did you make it up to Loxahatchee at all? Palm Beach Co's version of Goulds/Redlands area, at least 'till prop. values go back up...

BTW, Post #8 are Veitchias, not Adonidias. Not to rub it in; so many here to learn. Trust me, I'm still learning after being here two+ years...

Looks so.... relaxing?  Or was it exciting?  Peaceful?

Anyhow,  when you were in miami, did you by chance head to the miami beach area?  Massive Skyscrapers, huge mansions along the intra-coastal, and some great palms too!  It's really very cool.  I've never been anywhere else quite like it...

One place I didn't go was Miami Beach, uber-touristy, even for Florida.

But, you're right, and I should have gone.
